Most people have a mental list of things they want to do each season. Even if you don’t think about it in that way, there’s usually a handful of things you want to do that are really best in the spring, or whatever season. Whether it’s apple picking in the fall or cutting down your own Christmas tree, there are certain seasonal things you don’t want to miss out on. Around the time I started bullet journaling (when I was looking around Pinterest for inspiration), I started writing down my seasonal bucket lists. Partially to have something pretty to fill up my bullet journal with, and partially to put all my thoughts in one place and have a physical checklist so that I didn’t not do something I love only to remember it when it’s too late.
Some of the things on my spring/summer bucket list are DC-specific, but most of them are not. I’m also including the ones I’ve already done, because I’m a Virgo and love writing things I already accomplished on to-do lists so that I can check them off. Also it might serve as inspiration for one of you to add to your seasonal bucket list.
- See the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin
- Visit more National Parks (before the humidity becomes unbearable)
- Patio happy hours
- Keep hosting monthly wine club
- Have a picnic
- Host a girl’s night sleepover
- Finally learn to make homemade pasta
- Go to a Nationals game
- See Avengers: Endgame
- Explore more DC neighborhoods
- Day trip to the beach
- Visit more wineries
This list is just a starting point for me since the warmer weather just hit DC. I’m sure I’ll add things on as I think of them–and write about the ones that turn out to be interesting (don’t worry, I’m not about to review the Avengers movie on here). Is there anything on your seasonal bucket list that’s glaringly missing from mine? Please let me know, I don’t want to miss out on a seasonal classic!
