This post was requested multiple times so I’m going to take that as a sign that you all think I have great taste and you want to watch the shows that I watch. Disclaimer: I don’t have cable so the shows that I watch are on Netflix (so there’s a delay aka don’t try to talk to me about the last season of a show until it hits Netflix) or I watch the day after (or later) using on-demand online.
My taste in TV shows is pretty varied but I’d say one of the common threads is that I love strong women leading TV shows. That shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but it was something that emerged as a common theme in my picks. This list is a mix of old favorites that I watch when I need something that I don’t have to super pay attention to, and new shows that I’m loving.
In no particular order other than how my brain remembered what shows I watch:
- Grey’s Anatomy (I have ups and downs here but I love Meredith, Cristina, and Alex–and I hate Derek. Don’t @ me, he’s the worst.)
- The Bold Type (I started watching this because it took over the spot of Pretty Little Liars and OMG I’m obsessed)
- Pretty Little Liars
- I also started watching Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, but I haven’t decided if I like it yet so…
- Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (a re-imagining of Sabrina the Teenage Witch that I am so into. It’s dark but also funny and super well acted.)
- Great British Bake Off
- Sex and the City (I know this show didn’t age super well but I still love it and it reminds me of watching it with my best friends in college so it’s still a fave)
- Gilmore Girls (but not the reboot)
- Twilight Zone (especially the re-runs, I’m a sucker for a plot twist)
- Umbrella Academy (again with the plot twists)
- Jane the Virgin
- Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
- pretty much anything on the Food Network
- Parks and Recreation
- West Wing
- Law and Order: SVU
Are there any shows that you love that I should add to my list? Let me know since most of these have ended or are just me clinging to the past and re-watching them again and again!
