I know, I know, a lot of my recent posts have been about how it’s hot and ~summer is almost here~ but I’m a summer baby who was born and raised in California so you’re just going to have to get used to it. I do not apologize at all. Ever since I started bullet journaling I’ve been making seasonal bucket lists–things I want to do during that season that are (sometimes) season-specific, but are sometimes just things that I’ve been thinking about and finally want to commit to actually doing. In a similar spirit, today I’m sharing what would be my ideal summer day. We’re going to pretend that it’s the weekend because I want as many hours as possible to fill my ideal day.
- Wake up and go to a spin class at Cyclebar
- Meet Brandon and Scout after class, grab coffee and walk to the farmer’s market
- Get all the baked goods, all the tomatoes, all the flowers, and all the mushrooms at the farmer’s market (ooh, and probably some cheese because let’s be real I love cheese)
- Head back home to shower (because spin class) and gather picnic supplies
- Take my picnic of farmer’s market finds and head to a winery
- Do a wine tasting and then enjoy my picnic outside in the sun (there’s no humidity because this is my ideal day) with a bottle
- Head back home from the winery to make dinner
- Make a big dinner for some friends and host a dinner party
- Double mask (mud mask and a sheet mask) before bed
Now that I type it all out it seems like a really busy day but in my head it was slower and just filled with my favorite things. Undoubtedly this summer I’ll do all of these things, just probably not all in one day.
What does your ideal summer day look like? I’m so curious–I think it tells you a lot about someone when you learn what they’d do on their perfect day.
