Welcome back to another installment of what I’m reading. This one is a little different from last week’s because what I’ve been checking out online is a little different!
Ashley C. Ford on Apartment Therapy
Okay I totally love Ashley’s writing (and social media presence). I’ve followed her on Instagram and Twitter and read her work for a while and I was so excited to see a peek into her home with Apartment Therapy. She talks a lot about her relationship and her space online so I was intrigued. But what I was not prepared for was how emotional this video would make me. Wow. She’s so incredible and thoughtful and loving and you’ll definitely be inspired to look up some of her work after watching this video.
Adult Reading As… Homework?
My friend Kate sent me this article on Facebook and then on Friday it showed up in my GNI newsletter so obviously the universe is telling me to share it with everyone. Kate sent it to me because she knows about my reading goals and thought it would be interesting to see how others approach their reading goals. I have to say I definitely don’t think about my goals as homework though. For me it’s more of an ongoing challenge with myself. Yes, I know I might not make it to 100 books this year, but if I read more than I did in law school then I’m still meeting the real part of my goal. Plus I think anything that helps you read more is a good thing.
Team GNI’s Group Trip Spreadsheet Template
Wow. Just wow. I know I’m sometimes (quite) obviously Type A, but this spreadsheet is game changing and so helpful. It would’ve been extra helpful while I was planning a girl’s trip to NYC a few months ago, but it will definitely come in useful moving forward. Particularly because I know these next few years will be filled with weddings and hopefully an annual girl’s trip. Even if you don’t think you’re a spreadsheet person you should check this out. They’ve really made it so easy and user-friendly. And it’s an easy way to approach the topic of money with your friends that makes it way less awkward.
What have you been reading this week?
xoxo,
J
