It’s been a while (read: more than a year) since I shared my skin care routine. And, understandably, a lot has changed in that time. I’ve switched up almost all of my go-to products so I thought it was about time that I shared what I’m actually using now.
Morning routine
I wash my face in the shower with this Indie Lee brightening cleanser. It smells amazing! Like definitely a fruity strawberry scent but not in a way that’s overpowering so I love it.
Once I get out of the shower I use my trusty Trader Joe’s rose water toner (it’s like $4 and it’s gentle and also smells great).
When my face is dry from those two I use Sunday Riley’s Good Genes. I use this every other day. (Side note: I started by buying the smaller version in this set to see if I liked it and I am sorry to say that it is amazing.)
One thing that has NOT changed is that I still firmly believe that Kiehl’s avocado eye cream is the holy grail of eye creams. I’ve tried about four other eye creams and none of them are as good as this one. I buy the larger tub and it lasts so long and I think it’s fully worth it.
I recently switched to this Sunday Riley CEO Glow moisturizer and I love it. It has a nice orange scent that’s great to wake up with in the morning. And it’s both moisturizing and light which I think is ideal.
Finally, sunscreen. Some of you yelled at me about this last time I posted my skincare routine and I heard you. If I want some coverage with my sunscreen I’ll use this one from Suntegrity, but if I just want to keep my skin more of a bare look I’ll go with this one from cocokind.
Evening routine
My evening routine is much more chill. I’ll wash my face off with water or the Indie Lee cleanser and then do a sheet mask every few days. Before going to bed I use this Sunday Riley Luna Retinol. The mini one came with the Good Genes and I got hooked on it. Also I can definitely say that my skin feels smoother since I’ve been using retinol.
Definitely a lot of new products in this lineup. And I’ve upgraded to some of the pricier skin care products which is kine of a bummer but they’re honestly so so good that I had to tell you all.
What’s your go-to holy grail skin care product? Please let me know so I can try it out!
xoxo,
J
