May was a slightly slower reading month for me over here. Not really sure why–I still read a good number of books but for some reason I’m having a bit of a harder time focusing right now. I’m sure the lull will reverse itself soon though, especially because I have a FLIGHT coming up that I’ll have plenty of time to read during.
40. The Push – Ashley Audrain
41. The Hand That Feeds You – A.J. Rich
42. The End of Roe v Wade: Inside the Right’s Plan to Destroy Legal Abortion – Robin Marty and Jessica Mason Pieklo
43. The Last Thing He Told Me – Laura Dave
44. The City We Became – N.K. Jemisin
45. Anna K: Away – Jenny Lee
46. The Cabin at the End of the World – Paul Tremblay
47. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue – V.E. Schwab
48. Anxious People – Fredik Backman
The silver lining here is that I’m only two books off of the pace I need to be on to hit 120 books this year. AND I accomplished my goal of reading one nonfiction book in May. The End of Roe v Wade is a pretty terrifying read, but such a good book if you want to understand just how precarious abortion rights are right now.
I’m currently plugging away at June’s nonfiction book–which is blowing my mind but I don’t want to share until I finish it.
What’s on your TBR pile that I should add to mine? Something fun and easy to get me out of my focus rut?
xoxo,
J
